Guwahati units of NBMM and its wings reconstituted

GUWAHATI, Aug 10: All loutak (entire) Guwahati committees of the Nikhil Bishnupriya Manipuri Mahasabha (NBMM), Nikhil Bishnupriya Manipuri Sahitya Parishad (NBMSP) and Nikhil Bishnupriya Manipuri Sanskriti Parishad (NBMSP) were reconstituted at a meeting held at Radhamadhab Sebashram at Maligaon in Guwahati on Sunday.

The committees were reconstituted in the presence of NBMM’s vice-president Anil Gautam who was deputed by the central committee of NBMM as election observer, NBMM’s central committee vice-president and litterateur Sushil Kumar Sinha, Nikhil Bishnupriya Manipuri Sahitya Parishad’s central committee general secretary and litterateur DILS Lakshmindra Sinha and Nikhil Bishnupriya Manipuri Sanskriti Parishad’s Asom State committee general secretary Ashutosh Sinha (Rabi).

The meeting was presided over by NBMM’s vice-president Biresh Ranjan Sinha.
While social worker Jaiprakash Sinha was elected as new president of the loutak Guwahati committee of the NBMM, Madhusudhan Sinha and Namita Sinha were elected as vice-presidents, Narendra Sinha as general secretary, Nimai Sinha, Amal Sinha and Prankrishna Sinha as assistant general secretaries.

While litterateur Sashi Kumar Sinha was re-elected as the president of loutak Guwahati committee of the Nikhil Bishnupriya Manipuri Sahitya Parishad, Ramgopal Sinha and advocate Dipashree Sinha were elected as vice-presidents, Mrinal Kanti Sinha as general secretary, and Krishna Charan Sinha and Pratibha Sinha as assistant general secretaries.

In the loutak Guwahati committee of the Nikhil Bishnupriya Manipuri Sanskriti Parishad, while litterateur Hareswar Manab was elected as president, Gauri Prasad Sinha and Senago Sinha were elected as vice-presidents, Suchitra Sinha as general secretary and Bijoy Lakshmi Sinha as assistant secretary.

Earlier in the day, outgoing secretary of the loutak Guwahati committee of NBMM Hareswar Manab presented his report that was approved by the office-bearers present at the meeting. While Mrinal Kanti Sinha gave a brief account of the activities done by the loutak Guwahati committee of Nikhil Bishnupriya Manipuri Sahitya Parishad in its term under its president Sashi Kumar Sinha, Ashutosh Sinha gave an account of the activities done by the Sanskriti Parishad.
