Nikhil Bishnupriya Manipuri Yuva Parishad formed to uplift the downtrodden

In an important meeting, a Youth Body and its Central Committee was formed with an objective to uplift the downtrodden of the community. The meeting was held on October 4, 2009 at Guwahati, Assam.


The name of the proposed body is “NIKHIL BISHNUPRIYA MANIPURI YUVA PARISHAD” that will work for the development of the community in various sectors like education, sports, culture etc.

The meeting was convened by Shankha Sinha and was presided over by Juvaraj Sinha and Madhusudhan Sinha. The youth fraternity of the Bishnsupriya Manipuri community from the various states of India participated in the meeting.

“NIKHIL BISHNUPRIYA MANIPURI YUVA PARISHAD” and the Central Committee is consisting of the following members:

  1. Already there exists a proposed World B.M.Youth Body run by Delhites,therefore going ahead with the proposed name 'Nikhil'..
    ....should be reviewed for an alternate name.

    I wuld like to request the concerned person to mention the states against the name of the person attended the meeting or nominated for office bearers, so that one can easily understand the states involved in the committee making process.

Undoubtedly, the accurate period of the emergence or the development of religious consciousness of the Bishnupriya Manipuri is difficult to ascertain, but it is an old one that is undoubted, writes Rini Sinha , Guwahati .
