LET'S HAVE A TEST DRIVE OF BMDC FIRST

Views of the readers were sought here on what do they think about BMDC.

Do you think BMDC will be a milestone to meet the aspirations of the people?

Name: Pratibha Sinha, Guwahati [Yes]

BMDC is no doubt formed to promote the advancement & standards of competence of community people through Integrated Rural Development programmes, Community Development Programmes, Educational programs, professional certification and implementation and assessment of all major
development projects. We should never step back to acknowledge and congratulate the activist involved & welcome BMDC achieved after lots of struggles at different levels.

BMDC have to concentrate much on rural development programmes & reforms covering all demanding areas.

Following Steps for BMDC will help in the Community Development Process:-
1. Begin the Process
2. Engage the Community and legitimize the Process
3. Formation of BMDC Organisation Structure
4. Develop a Strategic Vision and Action Plan
5. Seek Feedback and Commitment from the people
6. Publicize the Plans prepared
7. Implement the Plans
8. Evaluate the Overall Effort made
9. Celebrate the Success of each effort
10.Create an Ongoing Development Process

At present, BMDC is undergoing the above Step 3 process - Central Committee is already formed and finalization of District Committees & framing actions plans of BMDC is under process.

When the BMDC is still under construction process, we have to wait and watch till it comes out in it's final shape and give a "TEST DRIVE". TEST DRIVE will help to identify real problems to analyse and offer solutions.

Let BMDC publicize it's Vision & Action Plans, then only it will be possible to FORECAST it's success & failure.

What is the harm to ACCEPT such developments & reforms instead of PROTESTING such changes developing lots of negative opinions due to fear of losing present position, status, power and portfolios in the society?

It will be definitely be a MILESTONE to meet the aspirations of the people if BMDC is able to execute it's actions plans successfully with the maximum support of people AND it will definitely FAIL if people welcome such welfare measure activities with all sorts of negative thoughts and mixing individual CONFLICTS with it.

BEST WISHES TO BMDC
AND
LET'S HAVE A TEST DRIVE OF BMDC FIRST
